Tips To Have A Healthy Hair

•Take a daily multi-vitamin (check with your doctor first). This will assist in healthy hair, nails and skin.
•Avoid excessive heat from dryers, irons, rollers, sun, etc.
•If your hair is color treated and you're in the sun, wear a hat or mix sun block with gel and apply it to your hair. Both will aid in the prevention of oxidation and dryness.
•Do not brush your hair when it is wet. Only use a large tooth comb and take small sections. This will prevent tearing of the hair.
•While your hair is wet, do not rub it hard between a towel or wrap it tightly on top of your head. This can cause breakage leading to frizz. Towel dry your hair by gently squeezing it between the towel.
•Do weekly protein and moisture treatments. You can make your own in your kitchen. Mix a few raw eggs, mayonnaise, and a little olive oil in a bowl (measure according to the length of your hair). Apply the mixture to your hair, cover your head with a plastic cap and either sit under heat, use a blow dryer, or keep placing hot towels over the cap. Leave on for approximately 30 minutes. Do not shampoo out-only rinse very well. The protein will bond and strengthen the hair and the moisture will add shine and elasticity.
•Keep up with monthly trims to avoid dead ends.
•Cleanse your hair with a clarifying shampoo 1-2 times a month. This helps to remove any product build-up or excess dirt/oils. If you are an avid swimmer, you may want to do this once a week. Do not do this in excess because it will strip your hair of essential oils and may make your hair feel hard and dry.
•Always apply shampoo to the roots and conditioner to the ends. Scrubbing your ends with shampoo will only dry them out. Applying conditioner to the roots will only make your hair flatter and lose body.
