Earthquake Will Hit Philippines

Last Sunday I was in church and our pastor told everyone about the earthquake today July 18,2008 will hit Philippines. This is from a Brazilian psychic that goes by the name Jucelino Nobrega da Luz. The name Juseleeno Nobulega DaRoose which has been widely circulated along with the email is a misspelling.

The psychic claims that he has predicted a lot of significant events that has recently occurred. But a serious study of his prophecies could reveal that this man is a hoax as claimed by his critics. The man has also been accused before of forging false documents to prove his claim of foretelling catastrophes and tragedies...
But the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) director Renato Solidum Jr. said that while it does not hurt to be prepared, there is no scientific basis for such prophecies.

Di po iyan prediction kasi wala yang scientific basis. Ito ay sinasabing prophecy o hula. Kahit sinong organization sa buong mundo walang kakayanan na makapagsabing exact magnitude at exact araw (The message circulating via email and text is not a prediction, it has no scientific basis. It is a prophecy that anyone can make)," Solidum said in an interview on dwIZ radio.

He said that to date, there is no organization in the world that can predict the exact date, time and magnitude of an earthquake.

Solidum was referring to the email and text messages claiming a magnitude-8 quake will hit the Philippines on July 18. The messages had been circulating since last week.

According to the messages, the "prophecy" came from a supposed Brazilian psychic named Jucelino Nóbrega da Luz.

"Dapat tanungin kung totoo ang taong nagsulat. Napakaraming sinabi na event na nangyari pero walang katibayan (First of all we should ask if the supposed psychic exists. There are a lot of supposed prophecies that did not come to pass)," Solidum said.

On the other hand, he said people should prepare for quakes by holding drills while authorities make sure buildings are safe.
Who is Jucelino Nobrega da Luz:

The new Edgar Casey/Nostradamus is from Brazil - Jucelino Nobrega da Luz (or in Asia as Juseleeno Nobrurega da Roose)

Mr. Juseleeno, born in 1960(reportedly still alive in 2008), is a Brazilian who has made many predictions, and MOST have come to pass, including Princess Diana's death by car accident (which is instigated by someone near her and will probably unfortunately be written off as a car accident), 911 and the 2004 Indonesian tsunami. He sees the future in his dreams, and has an average of 3 to 9 such predictions per day. When he wakes up, he will write them down, and send warnings to those concerned. If it concerns only a normal individual, he will write a letter to warn him/her. If it is a famous person(celebrity, politician etc.), or matters concerning the public, he will not only send it to the individual himself/herself, but also related agencies, government, and media. He urged the media to publicise these predictions, but the reply always went along the lines of rejection for fear of arousing public panic.
