Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park

Venue: Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park
Location: Beijing's Shunyi District

The new Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, built for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, was officially delivered on July 28, 2007. On August 8, the Shunyi Rowing-Canoeing Park will host the 2007 World Rowing Junior Championships, this year's very first "Good Luck Beijing" sport event in Beijing.

Located in Shunyi District approximately 30 kilometers east of Beijing city proper, the Park is on the banks of the Chaobaihe River. It includes a flatwater course for the aquatics long distance race, the rowing and canoe/kayak races, as well as a slalom course. Regarded as one of the most beautiful venues for the Beijing Olympics, the park is also the only venue in the world to have flatwater and slalom courses within one competition field.
